What is a Marine Surveyor?
A marine surveyor is a professional who specializes in inspecting, assessing, and evaluating various types of marine vessels and maritime structures. You might hire a marine surveyor to provide expert opinions on matters related to vessel condition, market value, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance, just to name a few.
To take this a step further, members of associations such as The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors® (SAMS®), are bound by a Code of Ethics which holds the surveyor to higher standards. Click here to learn more about the associations and memberships I maintain.
